* Received our new couch and loveseat on Friday. Comfy! Donna's really been enjoying having new furniture.
*
Aerated the lawn, and I ended up with blisters on both hands for my trouble even with wearing gloves (they'd mostly disappeared by Sunday, though). The front lawn has some dead zones that I'll need to address eventually. The back lawn has problems with flooding, which aeration is supposed to help with as well as helping the lawn's overall health.
* We
replaced the back fence last year, and I started staining it this weekend. This was recommended by the fencer as a means to extend the life of the fence. I completed about a quarter of it, and the cedar color is definitely more noticeable in the area I completed (I'll upload photos sometime in the future). I've had a sore back ever since Saturday, though, so I probably overdid it. This'll be a project that'll continue for the next month or so, as I get time to work on it.
* Patched hole in one of the screen on our patio - I'd actually patched it before, but the glue I was using to hold it in place didn't hold. I read a clever solution, though: use sewing thread and sew the patch into the existing screening. This seems to have worked pretty well. We seem to be getting wasps coming in and out of the patio, though, so I'll need to look for other holes in the screening.
* Watched most of the
NFL Draft on Saturday night and Sunday. Am quite pleased with
who the Eagles ended up getting, though their trading back multiple times on Day II was frustrating to sit through. Seems to have all worked out well, though.
* Hmmm. My backup hard drive that I use for nightly backups is starting to exhibit I/O errors. Not a good sign.
