If you could bring back one person...

Here's something Donna and I were discussing on our drive back from San Diego.

If you could bring back to life one person from the past, who would it be?

Caveats:
- No family members or people you personally knew.
- The person would come back at approximately the same age they died at, but any dehabilitating conditions would be alleviated; for example, if the person died of cancer, or had Alzheimers, they wouldn't have it when brought back.
- The person will have approximately 5 years of additional life.

The ones we thought were strong contenders: Marcus Aurelius (founder of Stoicism), Einstein, Mozart, Socrates, Ben Franklin, DaVinci.

Who would you bring back?

Ben Franklin lived to a quite ripe old age, so I'm not sure how much extra mileage you would get out of him---he was still feisty, but starting to wind down a bit.

Mozart, definitely!
Byron, Keats, and Shelley are good contenders. Especially Keats.
Pliny the Elder (damn that little volcanic eruption...)
