Two examples of local idiocy

- Black protesters greeted the opening of the King Tut's exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with protest chants of "Tutankhamen's back and he's still black.". They were angry at recent efforts by scientists to reconstruct Tutankhamen's face using CT scans of his body, which show him to be much less African in appearance than the activists were comfortable with.

- PETA wants the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach to stop serving fish at the aquarium restaurant, comparing it to serving "poodle burgers at a dog show." But shouldn't they be against all aquariums as imprisonment for fish? Oh, nevermind: they are already. Amazing they find the time for all this in between dumping puppy corpses at night

PETA never ceases to amaze me. But then, they're not about animals, they're about Control.

As for the King Tut thing, it reminds me of the old joke about how when asked to describe the person who robbed him, the guy says "It was a tall black man..." and gets the response "Hey, that's racial stereotyping! It could just as easily have been a tall white man that robbed you!"

PETA lost any claim to reasonable argument when the leader of England's division called eating chicken akin to the Holocaust.

And how dare Egyptians try to claim that a phaeroh looked...Egyptian.
