That's sad. I was a new math flunkee in grade school, until they started teaching me old math. Then I became an A student, which continued through college.
Oh, but that was interacting with old-style match, with things like algebra and trig, not philosophical math, I'm sure someone will argue. After all, it's not language-based like new math, so it can't be as good. Feh.
