* I scanned in some photos that we got developed this weekend: Showing what our cul-de-sac looked like after a major rainstorm, before I cleared various debris out of the rain drain. Donna at Universal Studios Citywalk in L.A. The wisteria tree in our front year, in full bloom. One of our apple trees in blossom. Second fruit tree in our backyard, not really sure what exactly it is yet...

* Got a lot of gardening work done this weekend, in addition to cutting the front lawns of both our house and the foreclosed/empty house next door. I purchased more green pepper and cucumber plants and put them in one of our raised beds in the backyard, and surrounded them and the tomatoes with wire mesh covers. I also direct-sowed the rest of the lamb's lettuce seeds we had, figured no reason to save them for next year and everything's growing amazingly well right now. Watered everything throughly, which made me appreciate having the rain barrels even more. Finally, we now have a couple of sparrows nesting in the birdhouse out back.

* Got a notice that one of my photos of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in D.C was accepted into the Schmap guide for the East Coast. Not that I get paid for it, but I figured it may help someone, so why not?

Sounds quite likely...guess we'll know in a couple months?

And if it is a plum, it will be fun to figure out what type! There are so many. As you say, in a few months...
