Tough week for NASA
Sep. 11th, 2004 09:39 pmFirst Hurricane Frances took a bite out of the Kennedy Space Center, then the Genesis sun probe crashed when its chutes didn't deploy (though it sounds like the scientists might be able to salvage some knowledge from the latter). And now apparently the International Space Station is having problems with its oxygen generators. Sheesh.
At least it looks like Burt Rotan's SpaceShipOne is on schedule to make its first X-Prize attempt on Sept. 29th.
