Got some good work done today. Among other things, I installed a passenger-side mirror on our Toyota Corolla. Now, I'm not much of a handyman, so figuring out how to take apart the paneling on the car, put in the mirror, then put the paneling back was at the upper-edges of my limited knowhow. But using some free advice I got online, I was able to get the thing on. The toughest part, as it turned out, was figuring out what size locknuts to use to fit the mirror screws, since even the standard "smallest" nuts were still too big. Fortunately, Lowes had some that were close enough.
Also changed the bedsheets, ran a load of laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, vacuumed the aparment, cleaned the bathroom, went jogging, updated my resume and vitae, and submitted a job questionnaire online. That was my Saturday.
Heard the first cricket at night on Thursday, usually an indicator that summer is here. Its been that warm the past week or so in SoCal. We're also already getting what I think are cherry blossoms in bloom. I'm waiting for our jasmine bushes to start coming into season; there were pink ones at Lowes that were already blooming.
