Sep. 24th, 2007 09:58 pmWe went up to visit my folks and my brother this weekend. I posted a few photos we took of the scarecrow competition at Peddler's Village, in Lahaska PA; they can be found here on flickr, along with a few of my folks and of what the trees look like in southeastern PA right now.
We also visited Solebury Orchards in New Hope (PA) and picked up a few pounds of Honeycrisp apples. These are probably the sweetest, juiciest apples I've ever tasted. Sure do wish one of the orchards down here had them...
Our tomatoes are really going crazy, they've even started growing past the raised bed I have them in. It's a race to see how many of them ripen before the frosts come in - we're supposed to get a few days of near-90 degree temperatures this week, that should help.
