Funny thing listening to radio online

One of the pleasant developments of the past year is being able to listen again via the Internet to some of the radio stations I grew up listening to in Philadelphia, like KYW and WIP. One of my favorite hosts from WIP, Jody MacDonald, is now on their new competitor 950 AM, and I've been enjoying listening to Jody Mac since their stream came online at the beginning of the year.
Context: I have a couple of old tapes I recorded of a show called "Celebrity Sports Talk" that WIP used to have on Fridays nights during the '80s. It was hosted by the Eagles play-by-play man Merrill Reese and Ron Jaworski, back when "Jaws" was still the Eagles QB. One of the tapes I have is from 1986, the other from '87.
Anyway, there was one caller to both of the shows named George ("from Mt. Airy"?) who was very opinionated and at times out-there conspiratorial with his comments. I think he eventually got on the WIP banned callers list because the hosts got tired of having to deal with him; I hadn't heard him on there for many years.
Well, want to guess who I've been hearing as an every-day caller on Jody Mac's show since the feed's been up? Yup: same guy, same voice, same wacky opinions, even almost 20 years later. He got kicked off Jody's show today for taking shots at one of his guests, but Jody seems to enjoy having him call in, so he's probably a regular there just like he used to be on WIP back then.
Struck me as a funny "the more things change, the more they stay the same" moment.
