El Nino, anyone?

I thought 70 degrees was odd for December 1st in Maryland. It's downright weird for January 5th.

The cherry trees at work are starting to bloom.

I'm just hoping our crocus don't start popping up, I don't want them killed off in the next freeze.

It's hard to kill crocus. They're actually adapted to getting frozen/snowed on. The cherry trees, on the other hand...

I keep wanting to start spring planting. My body is telling me it's time, but the calendar is telling me it's early January. Feh, global climate change...
