Heading home

We're in Tucson AZ this morning, pressing on to New Mexico then Texas today. We should be back home sometime Friday. The trip to CA was pretty much something both my wife and I want to put behind us as quickly as possible - as Donna put it, "for the first time, I'm happy to see California in my rear-view mirror." Lots of ugly, ugly family melodrama from her brother (who unfortunately is also the executor of my mother-in-law's estates), but fortunately we're heading home with the family heirlooms that my wife really wanted, which is the reason we're driving home rather than flying, since one of them is a large painting.
