"We Were All a Lot Older Then"
Feb. 4th, 2009 09:02 amI've mentioned before a musician named David Lynn Jones who recorded four CDs then pretty much disappeared. I finally bought the three I didn't have - they were ridiculously cheap, about $6 each from Amazon for used CDs including shipping. The one his label intended to be his commercial breakthrough, Wood, Wind, and Fire, has been described as "slick and overproduced", which I guess is a legit criticism, though I am enjoying the CD a lot; DLJ's talent shines through it all.
Anyway, there's one very simple song on the album which I thought I'd share, titled "We Were All A Lot Older Then." I think it gives a better idea of DLJ's talent than the pop-ish mixes on much of the album:
