Interesting op-ed in the Washington Post about what the Senate immigration bill would mean for U.S. migration numbers.
The Census Bureau immigration numbers Mr. Samuelson cites repeatedly in his column are exactly the subject area I'll be working on in my new job. As anyone who's worked with migration numbers knows, though, taking them as hard gospel instead of the "best reasonable approximation we could make" estimate they are is the kind of media oversimplification which makes demographers fret.
